Kenni Field: A TFP Debut

Welcome to our spotlight on Kenni Field.

A remarkable artist making waves in the world of ceramics. Based in Philly and rooted in Lenapehoking, Kenni is a queer Black ceramicist and art educator with over seven years of self-taught experience. Their journey is a vibrant blend of Afro-Caribbean roots, a lifelong love for play, and influences from their father's engineering background.

Kenni's work is a celebration of clean lines, simple geometry, and functionality. Their artistic repertoire extends beyond ceramics to include fabric, sound, and ink, showcasing a multifaceted approach to creativity.

A Fusion of Heritage and Modernity

Kenni's creations are deeply influenced by the bright colors and rich textures of their Afro-Caribbean heritage. One standout piece is a stunning pipe that doubles as an artistic addition to any room. Crafted from tinted porcelain with a glaze coating, this piece is not only visually striking but also practical. Its large hollow interior ensures a cooler, smoother hit than traditional stemmed pipes, and its durable, food-safe, and non-toxic materials make it a superior choice over glass.

Inspiring Joy and Wonder

Kenni's mission as an artist is to inspire joy, wonder, and tenderness in their audience. Each piece they create is a testament to this mission, blending functionality with a touch of whimsy.
